Mary holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Auckland (2024), alongside a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics, International Relations and Criminology (2021). Her academic background reflects a strong foundation in both legal reasoning and the broader social and political contexts in which the law operates.
Prior to entering legal practice, Mary worked in the political sector, supporting Members of Parliament and advocating on behalf of constituents within her local community. This experience developed her practical understanding of policy and governance, and her ability to navigate complex issues with clarity and empathy.
Mary has a demonstrated commitment to community engagement. She has contributed to local advocacy initiatives, including work connected to immigration matters at a council level, and has volunteered extensively. Her experience includes supporting residents at Catholic Healthcare Lewisham Nursing Home and assisting with a refugee summer school program through Wafrica Wagga.
Outside of practice, Mary enjoys volunteering with her local community, reading, and listening to history-focused podcasts.
